Ingredients of Clam Chowder

  1. It's 4 slice of bacon.
  2. You need 1/2 of onion diced small.
  3. You need 3 large of potatoes, cubed.
  4. You need 2 tbsp of flour.
  5. It's 1 of salt & pepper to taste.
  6. Prepare 3 can of chopped clams.
  7. Prepare 3 of bottles of clam juice.
  8. You need 1 pints of cream.
  9. Prepare 1 of a few sprigs of chive.

Clam Chowder step by step

  1. Cook bacon until crisp, set aside.
  2. Add onions & potatoes to the bacon grease, cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add flour & stir, cook a couple more minutes & season with salt & pepper.
  4. Add ONLY the liquid from the clams & the bottled clam juice.
  5. Cook about 20 minutes until potatoes are fork tender.
  6. Remove from heat add reserved clams & cream, stir.
  7. Re season with salt & pepper, if needed.
  8. Crumble bacon & add back into chowder & top with chopped chives.
