Ingredients of Clam Chowder
- It's 4 slice of bacon.
- You need 1/2 of onion diced small.
- You need 3 large of potatoes, cubed.
- You need 2 tbsp of flour.
- It's 1 of salt & pepper to taste.
- Prepare 3 can of chopped clams.
- Prepare 3 of bottles of clam juice.
- You need 1 pints of cream.
- Prepare 1 of a few sprigs of chive.
Clam Chowder step by step
- Cook bacon until crisp, set aside.
- Add onions & potatoes to the bacon grease, cook for 5 minutes.
- Add flour & stir, cook a couple more minutes & season with salt & pepper.
- Add ONLY the liquid from the clams & the bottled clam juice.
- Cook about 20 minutes until potatoes are fork tender.
- Remove from heat add reserved clams & cream, stir.
- Re season with salt & pepper, if needed.
- Crumble bacon & add back into chowder & top with chopped chives.
