- You need of Cranberry (fresh).
- It's of sugar Granulated.
- It's of Water.
Cranberry sauce instructions
- Bring the water and sugar to a boil in a saucepan.
- Add in the cranberries and keep stirring gently.
- While the whole mixture boils there will be a bit of tiny bursts going on, don't be alarmed, that is the cranberries starting to cook and the skin breaking open.
- Keep stirring and once you see that the skins have broken, start mashing the berries lightly.
- Continue to do this till all the berries are mashed and you are left with a thick sauce. This takes about 15 minutes usually.
- At this stage your cranberry sauce is ready!.
- For those of you who dislike biting into the cranberries in the sauce, pass the sauce through a strainer. Press the fruit against the strainer with a spoon till only the skin is left in the strainer and all the pulp is gone through..
